1998 Establishment of the company

The company was established with a small-scale safety net manufacturing unit and one office in New Delhi, India.

1999
1999 First Indian company to achieve CE certification in fall protection equipment

The company achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian company to receive CE certification in fall protection equipment. This achievement demonstrated the company's commitment to manufacturing equipment that meets European standards. All equipment was now manufactured according to European Norms and CE certified.

2004 Expanding to set up a second vertically integrated manufacturing set up

The company established a second manufacturing unit, a vertically integrated plant for the production of fall protection equipment in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The company achieved the ISO 9001-2000 systems certification from UKAS (UK), demonstrating its commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.

2005 Expanding to set up a manufacturing unit in Uttarakhand

The company established a manufacturing unit in Uttarakhand, India, to meet the increasing demands of the market. This expansion allowed the company to increase its production capacity and better serve its customers.

2006 Launch of personal protective equipment range (PPE)

Building on the success of its fall protection equipment, the company launched a new range of Personal Protective Equipment, including safety eyewear that was CE certified and conforming to EN norms.

The company also established regional offices in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, further expanding its presence and reach across India.

2007 Introduction of safety footwear

The company introduced a range of safety footwear with a unique Dual Density Polyurethane outsole, providing customers with additional protection and comfort in their workplace. The company also doubled its infrastructure in both manufacturing and marketing, increasing its production capacity and expanding its distribution network to better serve its customers.

2008 Establishment of multiple regional offices across the country

The company continued to expand its personal protective equipment range from head-to-toe by launching Ear-Protection gear that conformed to EN norms and was CE certified. Additionally, the company's Full Body harnesses now complied with global standards, including American and Australian norms.

The company also established multiple branch offices across the country to increase its outreach, better serve its customers, and meet their needs.

2009 Introduction of premium range of full body harnesses & retractable fall arrestor blocks

The company introduced its premium range of full body harnesses, the Magna Range, characterized by extreme comfort and ergonomic features. These harnesses provided users with superior comfort and support, allowing them to work safely and efficiently.

The company also introduced an exhaustive range of max catch KARAM retractable fall arrestor blocks, available in both polymer and aluminum casing.

2010 Established a state-of-the-art manufacturing set-up in Sitarganj, Uttarakhand

The company established a state-of-the-art manufacturing set-up in Sitarganj (Uttarakhand), incorporating the latest technology in shoe molding (using specialized Desma machines). The company also enhanced capacity for fall protection equipment manufacturing which allowed the company to increase its production capacity and better serve its growing customer base.

2011 Launch of Fixed Line Systems

The company launched an exhaustive range of fixed line systems, including both vertical and horizontal anchorage. These systems were designed to provide workers with increased safety and protection while working at height and further expanded KARAM's range of fall protection solutions.

The company also enhanced its production capacity in Lucknow by establishing a new manufacturing facility, enabling the company to keep up with the increasing demand for its products.

2012 Establishment of Marketing Office in Dubai and Consolidation of Base in France

The company established a marketing office in Dubai to better serve customers in the Middle East. Additionally, KARAM consolidated its base in France to reach out to customers in Europe.

2013 Introduction of Automation and Robotic Processes

The company set up complete automation in various operations and introduced robotic processes at its manufacturing units in Lucknow and Sitarganj. This move enabled the Company to streamline its operations, enhance the quality of its products, and increase its production capacity.

2014 Establishment of Safety Training and Consultancy Facility

The company set up a new, accredited state-of-the-art safety training and consultancy facility in Delhi-NCR, equipped with advanced simulation sites for height safety, roof safety, rope access, and rescue.

2015 Establishment of warehouse in the USA and strengthening of dealer-distributor network in the Middle East

The company established a warehouse in the USA for faster delivery of goods in North America. The company also strengthened their dealer-distributor network in the Middle East to consolidate their reach in the region.

2016 Establishment of sales offices in Australia, South Africa and South America

The company expanded its manufacturing setup to include in-house production of steel wire ropes. The company also introduced a new model of safety helmet in the Indian market, with advanced features that added to the comfort, safety, and style of the user.

2017 Launch of a comprehensive range of safety gloves and protective workwear

The company introduced a comprehensive range of safety gloves, designed to provide maximum protection against cuts, punctures, and abrasions, while ensuring excellent grip and dexterity. The company also launched protective workwear made from high-quality materials, such as flame-retardant fabrics and reflective tapes, to offer superior protection to workers in hazardous environments.

2018 Partnership with BLACK+DECKER

BLACK+DECKER understanding the requirement of PPE's ventured into the Indian market with its top-notch highest quality and with CE/ANSI certified range of PPE's for the Indian market, partnering with Karam Safety Private Limited under a licensee partnership.

2019 Establishment of marketing office in South Africa

The company established a marketing office in KwaZulu Natal to better serve customers in the South Africa.

The company also established a state-of-the-art quality check lab in Sitarganj, Uttarakhand, based on Australia and New Zealand standards, equipped with the latest testing equipment and machines, to ensure that all KARAM products meet the highest levels of quality and safety.

2020 Introduction of healthcare segment

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company introduced its healthcare segment to support the rising need for devices such as respiratory masks, face shields, and coveralls.

2021 Launch of Flytex safety footwear range

The company introduced a range of Flytex safety footwear equipped with all the significant features to ensure safety against extreme odds and to facilitate comfortable walk and work. The range is a perfect blend of breathability, comfort, safety, and style.

2022 Expanding to set up a manufacturing unit in Sandila, U.P.

The company expanded its manufacturing capacity with a new plant in Sandila, Uttar Pradesh, India, equipped with the latest technology in fall protection equipment manufacturing.

The company also established a unique testing facility for fixed line systems, equipped with advanced testing equipment and simulation sites, to ensure that its fixed line systems meet the highest safety standards and provide optimal protection to users.
