Solar Panel Technology

We are taking strides towards sustainability by taking important steps towards a greener future. In a recent study, we found out that we generated around 15,721 kWh of electricity through the solar panels in just one of our manufacturing units. The solar energy we generate helps us draw less thermal power from the grid, enabling us to reduce our carbon footprint and work towards achieving a cleaner and more sustainable environment. 

KARAM Collaborates with Ankur Foundation

KARAM has collaborated with Ankur Foundation to open new permanent health clinics and education centers in various areas of Sitarganj, Uttarakhand. This collaboration aims to provide basic healthcare facilities in remote areas for underprivileged communities of Uttarakhand by opening 5 new healthcare centers. Through this initiative, KARAM and Ankur Foundation have also strived to empower communities through education by introducing 4 new tuition centers in Sitarganj, Uttarakhand. 

Eco-friendly Packaging

Environmental sustainability is key to the well-being of future generations. One initiative that fosters our green vision is incorporating eco-friendly, biodegradable packaging for our products. Making responsible choices by opting for sustainable packaging is an effective way to reduce waste and promote a greener future. Furthermore, eco-friendly packaging not only benefits the environment, but also reflects our commitment to sustainability and demonstrates that we care about the well-being and future of our planet.

KARAM collaborates with Sarthak Foundation

Koshish, KARAM's CSR wing, has collaborated with Sarthak Foundation to provide a helping hand to economically weaker segments of society by funding children's education. We have also sponsored the development of three yellow-themed classrooms located in the inner areas of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and have undertaken the responsibility of providing quality education for 240 children, with a focus on foundational learning, life skills, and job-readiness aptitudes, for one year.

KARAM encourages sportsmanship

We are proud to announce our association with the KD Babu Singh Memorial Hockey Society, for the 33rd All India under- 14 Sub Junior Hockey Tournament as Title Sponsors of the tournament, held at the Padmashri Md Shaheed Synthetic Hockey Stadium, Lucknow, from 27th February 2023 to 6th March 2023.

Through this association, we aim to promote the spirit of sportsmanship among the younger generation, whose hands are responsible for shaping our country’s golden future. 

Zero Liquid Discharge System

We are committed to environmental sustainability and have recently adopted Zero Liquid Discharge technology (ZLD) at our metal manufacturing unit. Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is a strategic wastewater management system that prevents industrial discharge of wastewater into the environment. Since the implementation of this technology, we have been able to save 20 kilolitres of water daily. 

Tree Plantation Drive

We are committed to protecting and preserving the environment by regularly organizing tree plantation drives in association with UPSIDC (Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation) and the Pollution Control Board. The tree plantation drive is part of our endeavour to constantly improve our carbon footprint. Through these tree plantation activities, we aim to spread awareness about the need to protect our environment.  

Effluent Treatment Plant

We have always been committed to sustainable development and environmental protection. We are constantly upgrading our facilities and processes to ensure that we do our part in protecting the environment. Moreover, we have established Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) in our factories to treat industrial effluents before they are discharged into the environment. The effluent treated by our ETPs exceeds the standards set by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).  

Fighting Thalassemia

Koshish, KARAM's CSR wing, has collaborated with Thalassemics India Society in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to support patients affected by the chronic illness of Thalassemia. Thalassemia is a genetic disorder that can be fatal if not treated properly. We have been actively working with the Thalassemics India Society in Lucknow to create awareness about the disease and provide the right treatment to patients.
